Hello Children’s National.
This is a reminder of the powerful array of resources and tools available to you through the Children’s National Medical Center Library. At last count, we provide access to at least 850 online books and 10,000 online journals. Key resources include:
· UpToDate: Access via your personal device is available via your personal device via Uptodate Anywhere (informational pdfs attached)
· PubMed: Including direct links to articles - click on the Dr. Bear icon. If we have the full text, click through the links and download the article.
· Clinical Key: Online textbooks, procedural videos, patient educational materials
· Red Book
· Isabel
If the Children’s National library cannot provide access to an article (a rare event!), then please fill out the “request an interlibrary loan” form. Interlibrary loans usually take 1-2 days.
When you request an interlibrary loan, let me know if you are a fellow or if you are faculty member awaiting your GW appointment by making a comment on the interlibrary loan form.
For those with academic appointments at the GW, a brief guide to accessing the Himmelfarb library is attached.
